Skin habits
Your skin shows your week. Small habits help.
Dry winter air, short nights, stressful weeks, city grime and a habit of touching your face can all show up on your skin. These short guides explain what's going on in plain words and pair each habit with a simple Korean routine you can actually keep.

Pick the one that sounds like your week. Each guide covers what the habit can do to skin, one or two easy swaps, and a short routine.
Two habits that matter for everyone
- Sun protection, every day. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends protecting your skin from the sun daily with a broad-spectrum, SPF 30 or higher, water-resistant sunscreen. That matters for every skin tone. Find one you'll actually wear in our no-white-cast sunscreen guide or browse Korean sunscreens.
- Smoking. The AAD says smoking greatly speeds up how quickly skin ages, and that people who quit often see healthier-looking skin. No serum makes up for it, so if you smoke, talk to your doctor about support to quit.
Keep the basics simple
- Cleanse gently. Skin should feel soft after washing, not tight. See how to double cleanse.
- Hydrate and moisturize. A watery layer plus a moisturizer is the heart of glass skin.
- Change one thing at a time. Add one new step at a time, and patch test anything new.
- See a dermatologist for breakouts that hurt or scar, rashes or flare-ups that don't settle, or any new or changing mole.
