Every guide in our Glow Guide is written by the Glasswell Beauty editorial team. We're a small K-beauty shop, not a clinic, so here is exactly how we research, write and check what we publish, and what we will never do.
How we research
- We read the real ingredient list. Before we say a product contains something, we check its full ingredient list, not just its name or marketing. If a brand changes a formula, the list on your package is the most current.
- We cite sources you can open. Our guides link to dermatology organizations (like the American Academy of Dermatology), medical publishers and published research. If we can't link to it, we don't cite it.
- We explain Korean terms accurately. When we use Korean words like chok-chok or mul-gwang, we explain what they actually mean and where they come from.
What we will and won't say
- We describe what skincare does in cosmetic terms: hydrating, soothing, smoother-looking, a healthy-looking glow.
- We never promise to treat, cure or heal skin conditions, and we never call a product "clinically proven" or "dermatologist-approved" unless we can show you the proof.
- We never sell or describe skincare as whitening, lightening or changing your skin tone. Glow is for every skin tone.
- No fake reviews, no invented quotes, no before-and-after photos and no fake countdown timers.
- For anything persistent, painful or worsening, we'll always tell you to see a dermatologist or your doctor. Our guides are general cosmetic skincare education, not medical advice.
How we choose products
We sell the products we recommend, and we say so. We pick them by what fits the skin concern in the guide, then check the ingredients, the price and how they fit a simple routine. Brands don't pay to appear in our guides.
When a creator is paid to try our products, we label it clearly as a paid collaboration.
Keeping guides up to date
Each guide shows the date it was published. We review guides when formulas, prices or guidance change, and we fix mistakes as soon as we find them.
